About

How I Got Started
I chose a path of public and social service at the beginning of my career. I began this service as an adolescent counselor for drug dependent youth where I engaged with people from all walks of life. From there, I moved to investigations at the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences where my efforts gave voice to victims of the ultimate crime. These initial experiences taught me to see the spaces in between the absolutes, teaching me that people aren’t always the same. It provided me the ability to treat people as individuals; to see them for who they are. Combining my initial experiences, I was afforded the opportunity to serve as an FBI Special Agent. In doing so, I was able to give voice to the victimized, seeking justice and accountability for the American public. Whether investigating crimes against children, violations of civil rights, state sponsored computer intrusions or public corruption, I have always sought to discover the truth and be an equitable representative of that truth. I am proud of my twenty-five years of public service. I’m also excited to bring my experience and leadership to the next chapter of my career.
